Setting Up Outlook Email

Why Use Outlook?
Outlook or Outlook Express is installed on every Windows computer, and it's a fast and easy way to keep up with your e-mail. Rather than using Webmail, which can be slow and stuffy, Outlook can dramatically speed up your daily grind of reading and replying to e-mails. The set up process for Outlook is fast and easy. For users wanting to use Microsoft Outlook (the commercial version of Outlook Express) set up is very similar.

We highly recommend watching our online video above to see how the set up process works.

First, go to the Tools menu and then E-mail Accounts:

’Ä¢ We want to add a new e-mail account:

’Ä¢ Press Next >

’Ä¢ ’Ķ our server is a POP3 server. Select POP3:

’Ä¢ Press Next >

’Ä¢ You will enter your personal info, including name, e-mail address, and password.

’Ä¢ In the screen shots below, your-name.com should be replaced with your own domain name.

’Ä¢ When you are done entering these settings DO NOT press Next > ’Ķ click on ’ÄúMore Settings ’Ķ’Äù

’Ä¢ You will need to go to the Outgoing Server tab and select ’ÄúMy outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.’Äù

’Ä¢ Next, go to the Advanced tab.

’Ä¢ Here we want to change the Outgoing server (SMTP) value from the default of 25 to 2525.

’Ä¢ Press OK when finished. Then Next > on the screen you see.
